The Queen Visit Hemel Hempstead And St. Albans -- The Queen leaving the home of Mr and Mrs Adams, in Homefields Road, while little Susan Appleagate in cool attire, looks admiringly at Her Majesty. This afternoon H.M. the Queen paid a visit to Hemel Hempstead-her first visit - to lay the foundation stone of St. Barnabas Church, and afterwards drove to St. Albans Abbey for Evensong. The Queen also inspected the Adeyfield and Bennetts End neighbourhood units, and made a tour of the whole of the new town by car, and visited some of the new tenants. July 26, 1952.
