The Queen At Royal Show -- This happy picture of Queen Elizabeth was made during her 6½-hour visit to the Royal show at Newton Abbot, Devon, yesterday July 2. Crowds lined the street to welcome the first British monarch to visit the town since Charles I was there in 1625. Waiting the great the Queen at the Royal Pavilion was the minister of Agriculture, Sir Thomas Dugdale. The Queen later presented the Royal Agricultural society's long-service medal to 14 farm workers whose length of service on one farm ranged from 66 years to 40 years. July 3, 1952.
