Queen Meets The Scouts At Windsor Castle -- The Queen has a word with Brian Sanderson, of Leeds, who is in a wheelchair, when she carried out her first public engagement following a period of court mourning. At Windsor Castle Her Majesty took the salute at the march-past of nearly 1,000 Queen's Scouts and holders of Scout awards for gallantry, in the quadrangle of the caste. The occasion was the fourteenth annual National Scout Service in St. George's Chapel. On the left of Brian is John Matthews, 13, from the Bath Orthopaedic Hospital. April 26, 1953.
