Watched by ***** 25,000 relatives of the fallen, the Queen to-day (Saturday) unveiled the Runnymede memorial to officers and men of the air forces of the commonwealth who lost their lives in the last war while operating from bases in England and North-West Europe and have no known grate. The memorial, an imposing shrine embraced by cloisters, is on the edge of a wooded hill over looking the Thames and above the meadow where King John signed the Magna Carta in 1215. October 17, 1953.
