Princess Maud of Wales (1869 - 1938), later Queen of Norway, youngest daughter of King Edward VII, pictured in her wedding dress for her marriage to Prince Charles (Carl) of Denmark. Her dress was of ivory satin woven at Spitalfields, with a plain skirt edged with a chiffon ruche, dotted with orange blossom, jessamine and myrtle. The 4 1/2 yard long train was decorated with bows of chiffon and flowers and the low bodice similarly trimmed, while the waist has a deep belt of silver embroidery.
