The Princess Goes Gay At Ottawa Barn-Dance -- A check-shirted partner swings the gaily dressed and happily smiling Princess round during the barn-dance at Rideau Hall, to toe shouted Instructions of the "caller". The official aspect of the Royal tour of Canada was relaxed on Friday October 12th, when Princess Elizabeth and the Dike of Edinburgh attended a traditional barn-dance held at Rideau Hall, Ottawa, home of the Governor General, Viscount Alexander. The royal couple alone with the rest of the guests, wore the accepted barn-dance costume, the Princess a dirndl skirt and peasant blouse, the Duke blue jeans, checked shirt and neckerchief.
