Princess Elizabeth Receives Degree at London University -- The Earl of Athlone, Chancellor of the University, placing the hood of Bachelor of Music over the gown of Princess Elizabeth as he conferred the degree. Princess Elizabeth, elder daughter of the King and Queen, received the degree of Bachelor of Music at a ceremony in the Senate House of London University at which the Chancellor of the University, the Earl of Athlone, great-uncle of the Princess, officiated.
