Police Baton Charges In Johannesburg -- An injured woman being lifted to her fleet outside Johannesburg City Hall after police baton charges had dispersed crowds demonstrating against the arrest of Mr. E. S. Sachs, general secretary of the Garment Workers Union.There were violent scenes outside the Johannesburg City Hall when, during a protest meeting by the Garment Workers Union, Mr. E. S. Sachs, general secretary of the Union, was arrested.
