These pictures show scenes during a flight by Sunderland Flying boats, manned by members of the Royal Australian Air Force, while escorting High seas convoy. The Suadron is well on the way to creating a record for the number of hours flown on active service. The two side gunners, however with their gun position open, to the air mid way along the fuselage prefer to wear full flying kit as they keep watch for the enemy. July 2, 1940.
