Peter Paul Rubens (Siegen, 1577-Antwerp, 1640). Flemish painter. "The Defenders of the Eucharist", ca. 1625. Around 1622-1625 the Infanta Isabel Clara Eugenia commissioned Rubens to design twenty tapestries for the Convent of the Descalzas Reales in Madrid. On the other side, Saint Thomas Aquinas, Saint Norbert (wearing a white habit) and Saint Jerome. Oil on panel (65,5 x 68 cm). Prado Museum. Madrid. Spain. Author: Peter Paul Rubens (1577-1640).
