As part of the National Hispanic Heritage Month, the 21st Theater Sustainment Command in Kaiserslautern, Germany would like to honor and celebrate Albert Cruz-Bianchis family to include his father, Ernesto Cruz-Ortiz (pictured above). Ernesto joined the United States Army in 1951 when he enlisted in the Salinas Training Area, Puerto Rico. Ernestos served for 30 years to include three of those years with his son at with the 2nd Battalion 33rd Armored Regiment, 3rd Armored Division, on “The Rock” at Kirch Goens, Federal Republic of Germany. Americas diversity is a great strength, as people of different backgrounds, cultures, and heritage contribute their unique perspective, skills and talents. Our Army is stronger because of this diversity and we work to ensure that every member of the force has the opportunity to reach his or her full potential.
