Painter With A - Long Job -- It's a long stretch for painter Walter Ridout, of Southampton, to work on the newly installed port forward stabilising fin protruding from the hull of the giant Cunard liner Queen Elizabeth in dry dock at Southampton today (Wednesday). The Fins, fitted in two pairs, are hydraulically operated with gyre control, to reduce rolling while the liner is at sea.Four fins are necessary instead of the normal two because of the giant Cunarder's size.
