The R.A.F. Over Dunkirk. A dense plume of acrid black smoke rising several thousand felt larks a burning oil tank destroyed by the R.A.F. at Dunkirk. It is one of a group of reservoirs forming a tank farm in the western part of the town. The other tanks have been previously destroyed. The picture also shows the railway marshalling yard where a stick of bombs has damaged and destroyed a number of trucks and part of the track. June 5, 1940. (Photo by British Official Photograph).
