Ordered to leave Australia as aliens, Tonga-born Mrs. Carrick and her Two daughters are shown at their Canning Bridge home today. With them is Mrs. Carrick's British-born husband, who has been trying to get the decision altered. He says he would be content if his family could stay here for four or five years until his children were educated. Mrs. Carrick is a cousin of Queens Salute, the reigning queen of Tonga. Immigration Minister Calwell said today that he would not discuss why Mrs. Carrick and her daughters hand been classed as aliens, said they must leave by September. April 28, 1948.
