Operation Televised. A television camera follows the movements of surgeons during an operation at Leiden Hospital, Holland. The complete operation was viewed by 200 medical men and students in the lecture hall in another wing of the hospital. This is the first time surgery has been televised in Europe. April 29, 1949.
