Travertine or tecali; diameter: 18.8 x 18.4 cm (7 3/8 x 7 1/4 in.); overall: 18.9 cm (7 7/16 in.); part 2: 12 cm (4 3/4 in.); part 3: 4.7 cm (1 7/8 in.). The objects in this group, all with traces of red pigment, are said to have been found together, the shells and greenstone plaque inside the translucent stone vessel. A similar offering was found in a pyramid ornamented with feathered serpents at Xochicalco, a site south of the Valley of Mexico.
