Nurses See The Cause of All The TroubleNurses from University College Hospital have a close-up view of the 2500 lbs bomb removed this (Sunday) morning from the spot where it has lain beneath a partly-demolished building off Tottenham Court Road, London, since it was dropped there in the 'blitz' days of 1940. Men of No. 2 Bomb Disposal Unit, under command of Major F.S. Knight, who had rendered it safe this morning, had hauled it to the surface. The bomb was finally declared 'completely safe' at 11.255 a.m. July 17, 1949. (Photo by Reuterphoto).
