New Winged Recruit To The R.A.F. -- A new pictures of the Boulton Paul Balliol trainer.The Boulton Paul Balliol trainer aircraft is shortly to be taken into service by the Royal Air Force. It is to be used for modern advanced training by day or by night in flying, gunnery, navigation, bombing, photography, and glider towing. It can also he readily adapted for deck landing. This model, fitted with a Merlin engine, was recently gives at ever 450mph. A later version undergoing trials is fitted with a gas turbine engine.
