It is to be used for modern advanced training by day or by night in flying, gunnery, navigation, bombing, photography, and glider towing. It can also he readily adapted for deck landing. This model, fitted with a Merlin engine, was recently gives at ever 450mph. A later version undergoing trials is fitted with a gas turbine engine.
