New Orient Liner Orcades made an impressive picture as she came up Sydney Harbor today on her maiden voyage from Britain. The Orcades (28,164 tons) is the largest and fastest liner to enter the regular Australian trade. The ship cost £4,000,000 to build and her running costs are £3800 a day. January 14, 1949.
