When she arrived for conversion to the Cargo Liner Port Victor.Now undergoing her sea trials is the Cargo liner Port Victor. This vessel was under construction on the Clyde during the war and was taken over by the Admiralty and eventually completed as an Aircraft Carrier, and named H.M.S, Nairana. From 1946 to 1948 she was on loan to the Royal. Netherlands Navy and served them under the name of the Karel Doorman. In July 1948 she arrived at the shipyards of Messrs, Harland and, Wolff, in Belfast, to be be reconverted to a Cargo Liner Port Victor. September 19, 1949. (Photo by Fox Photos).
