The New Homes of England -- One of the new types seen at the Exhibition - a Cornish Unit house - and made almost entirely from the residue of the Cornish china clay industry. This residue was formerly regarded as waste but by a new process is now made into a substance closely resembling concrete. New types of houses will be seen at the great Ideal Homes Exhibition opening shortly at Olympia, London. This section of the Exhibition is being organized by the Ministry of Health and is part of its Town and Country Homes plan for 1948. January 01, 1948.
