The New Holder Of The Blue Riband -- After her record-breaking crossing of the Atlantic ocean, the 53,300-ton liner "United States" steams across the English channel to Le Havre, France. This picture was made from the air this morning, July 7, after the vessel, largest ever built in the U.S.A., sailed from the ambrose light outside New York, to Bishop rock, off lands end, Cornwall, in three days, ten hours, 40 minutes, on her maiden voyage.
