New Fire-Fighting Floats For The R.A.F. - One of the new fire-fighting launches demonstrates the power of its jets during fire drill in Portsmouth Harbor.New types of fire-fighting floats to be used by the Royal Air Force at coastal stations, were demonstrated at Portsmouth Harbor.The launches are being constructed by Mesars Vosper and will have a speed of 12 1/2 knots.Each launch is capable of throwing 1,000 gallons of sea-water, or 5,400 galloons of foam per minute.
