New Canadian Jet Fighter Takes To The Air -- The twin-jet Avro CF-100, first front-line fighter designed and built in Canada, is shown as it took to the air on it's maiden flight here Jan. 19. Designed for the defence of North America the 16-ton CF-100 is said to be the first long-range, all weather jet fighter in the world.
