Mrs. Morris Cafritz - A Washington socialite, Mrs Gwendoline Cafritz, was robbed at knife point yesterday by tour men who escaped with jewels worth 250,000 dollars (£112,000).Police said the bandits took diamonds, emeralds and pearls from a safe in Mrs Cafritzs home in the Foxhall Road area.Among the 26 items stolen was a diamond necklace with 46 stones totalling 80 carats. It was valued at 100,000 dollars (£44,600). Financiers Wife - Mrs Cafritz is the widow of Morris Cafritz, a Washington financier and real- estate dealer.Four men grabbed her and held a knife to her throat as she returned home.
