Model No. 992 ca. 1903 Walter Scherf German Friedrich August Scherf and his son Walter founded the Metallwarenfabrik für Kleinkunst Walter Scherf & Co. in 1899. The manufacturer worked with noted designers, including Josef Hoffmann. Walter Scherf, who trained at the Nürnberger Handwerkkunst, Bayerisches Gewerbemuseum between 1903 and 1907, also designed for the company.
