Miss Atom Man - This photo shows the missing atom scientist Bruno Pontecorvo (left) as a student at Borne university in 1933. The Italian born scientist, aged 37, was working as a naturalised Briton at the Harwell atom research station. He has not been heard of since he arrived in Helsinki, by air, with his wife and their three young sons, seven weeks ago. Shown with the professor are two fellow students, engineers.
