Forty young spinsters were invited to meet forty gay bachelors, with the bachelors paying for the night out and the proceeds going to charity. The men wore labels marked "Bachelor" and/or "Wolf" - all except Mr. Leslie Romain, of the Mayfair club, London, who organised the party.Mr. Romain, a married man, had a special notice pinned on his back.
