Menuhin's Debut As Conductor -- Yehudi Menuhin here makes his debut as an orchestra conductor, leading the Dallas Symphony Orchestra in a Radio broadcast. The violinist thus followed other concert artists who have fulfilled ambitions to wave the Baton. before taking the podium. Menuhin had studied conducting technique with his friend Antal Dorati, permanent conductor of the Dallas Orchestra.
