Like other bands of hunter gatherers, the NS are master story tellers of folklore and legend. The older generation spend hours interweaving themes and dramatising tales. They often pit their skills against a younger generation in a lively, competitive game. The NS live in the harsh environment of a vast expanse of flat sand and bush scrub country straddling the Namibia Botswana border.
