Libation Vessel ca. 1279-1213 B.C. New Kingdom, Ramesside This spouted libation vessels was near the top of the sand that filled the colonnade and entrance corridor of a Middle Kingdom tomb at Dendera. It was found with a metal incense burner and another spouted libation vessel that was inscribed with the cartouches of Ramesses II. The excavator, W.M.F. Petrie, surmised that the three ritual objects had been stolen from one of the temples and hidden in the tomb which lies about 400 yards (ca. 365 meters) south of the enclosure wall that surrounds the Temple of Hathor..
