At left: below is a plant. From a row of dolphins with upright tails springs the head of a horse, upon which a putto kneels, supporting a stem from which four leaves spring, each supporting a burning candle. At right: below is a round base. The head, the neck, and the fore-hoofs of a horse emerge from water. From the head springs a stem similar to the left one yet apparently with six branches. A flying putto leans his left hand against the stem and holds in his right hand what seems to be the reins. Colored background. Pen and brown ink, brush and brown wash on off-white laid paper.
