With the King went the Crown Prince, aged 30, and the Princess eldest son. Now the Parliament have enthroned the Crown Prince's second son, four-years-old Dhiraja Gyanendra Bir Bikram Shah Deva - so ending the 39 years reign of his 44-years-old grandfather. April 30, 1937.
