King Gustav of Sweden acknowledges the cheers of the crowds as he drove with Queen Elizabeth along Horse Guards Parade to Buckingham Palace. King Gustav and Queen Louise of Sweden arrived in London today for their state visit. They sailed up the Thames Greenwich in the Swedish cruiser Tre Kronor where they were met by the Luke of Edinburgh accompanied by the Swedish Ambassador. The royal party then embarked in royal barge for the journo up river to Westminster Pier. There, they were welcomed by the Queen, the Queen Mother, Princess Margaret aid other members of the Royal Family.
