The Jeep Goes To Seawater Operations -- The Jeep entering the water.The Navy Department Bureau of chips has ordered a large number of "deep water fording kite" which will be used to equip Jeeps for underwater operation at beaches and in fording streams. Containing 125 parts and weighing about 117 pounds, the "Submarine Kits" were ordered from Willys-Overland Motors, Incorporated primarily for the use of the Marine corps assault and operation forces which specified that the Kit.
