James Townsend Saward, better known as Jim the Penman, is found in a coffee shop near Oxford Street, London, by two City officers and arrested. Saward was a barrister-at-law, but also a forger of money orders and fencer of stolen goods. He and his accomplices helped with the disposal of the stolen gold bullion from the 1855 South Eastern Rail gold robbery.
