Homeward Bound - The luxury diningroom of the "O.E." converted to a Mess Hall to seat two thousand troops at one sitting. One of the last batches of homeward bound Canadians are seen at "Chow Time". The "Queen Elizabeth", the world's largest liner, completes her service as a war transport this week and will shortly be "demobbed" and returned to the Cunard White Star Line. The last of her service tasks has been to convey many hundreds of thousands of Canadian troops back to their home country. March 05, 1946.
