Home Of Gipsy Bridegroom - The former home of Arthur Smith, nephew of the famous Gipsy Smith, lived here before his marriage to Edith Henderson, daughter of an Indian Army general. They found romance through a passion flower, when Arthur was called in to help with the gardening at Edith's home, Martins Hell. Edith - 40 years old brunette - got tangled up with the passion flower plant in the greenhouse. Arthur went to help her, and in her own words, "we both got tangled and have stayed tangled in love." June 11, 1946. (Photo by Mirror Features).
