Sir Henry Havelock, full-length portrait, sitting, facing right, wearing dress uniform and holding a quill pen at a desk in a tent in Lucknow, India, during the Indian Mutiny of 1857. Havelock defended the British position, but died of dysentery before completing the battle at Lucknow. The British re-took Lucknow from the Indians in 1858.
