German and U.S. nuns who were rescued by the Allies after the capture of Hollandia. During Japanese occupation the nuns were often beaten and made to work hard. One nun who asked for 80 flour was struck in the face by a Japanese officer. This is one of the many insulated offered to them by the enemy. May 11, 1944.
