German joust, mid 16th century. Two knights in armour and caparisoned horses fight a joust called a Rennen. Sebald Geiger of Nuremburg has a helmet with lion rampant and buckler with head of a black man, while Pangratz Zollner has a two-handled tankard on his helm and shield.
