Georges Cadoudal (1771-1804). French counter-revolutionary politician. Chouan general, commander of the Catholic and Royal Army of Brittany (Armee catholique et royale de Bretagne). Early on the morning of 23 August 1803, the brigantine ""HMS Vincejo"" landed Georges Cadoudal with other Chouans at the foot of the cliffs of Biville. It was a conspiracy to kidnap or assassinate Napoleon Bonaparte on his way to Malmaison. The attempt failed.
