Fuel For Berlin By The Airlift Coalmen -- A lorry loaded with sacks of coal passes under the nose of the "aerial coalman", a giant Ha stings aircraft, at Schleswigland. The first of the new giant air freighters, the Royal Air Force Handley Page Hastings, are now being used on the air lift to Berlin, Germany. They are operating from the ex-Luftwaffe night-fighter station at Schleswigland where 19,000 tons of soil has been remove and 7,000 tons of concrete laid in the last 15 days to get the aerodrome ready for the giant aircraft that can make the trip to Berlin in one hour and carry a load of nearly 7½ tons.
