The Fondaco dei Turchi. A palazzo in the Veneto-Byzantine style on the Grand Canal in Venice, Italy. Meaning 'The Turks Inn', it was constructed in the 1st half of the 13th century by Giacomo Palmier. It served originally as a residence Marquess of Ferrara and to dignitaries, later becoming a one-building ghettorading location for Venetian Turks. The building underwent a complete restoration between 1860 and 1880.
