The First Twelve Months -- Eight Months Old: Mary has passed the 17ld. mark. The breast feed has been stopped altogether at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., so that her mother is feeding her now at 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. only. Mary has learn to stand up for a second or so, if her hands are held. She is getting pretty mobile on the floor but move mainly backwards as yet. She still has not teeth but something is on the way for at this stage her fingers are rarely out of her mouth. It is at this stage that her mother for the first time taken Mary out for a car ride.
