Fire in Winnipeg, Canada. The Bulman Block fire of October 11th 1904 destroyed the building backing onto the Duffin block (Birt Saddlery). The Duffin was reduced to one storey, the Bulman Block and Ashdown's were razed. (Interestingly, to this day, the Bulman site is vacant and the Duffin block remains just one storey). Date: 1904
