The figures represent, from left to right: two Sarmatian warriors, a Dacian king, two Scythian warriors, and Scythian prince. The Sarmatians occurpied the area along the lower Don River, around the 3rd century B.C. to the 2nd century A.D. ; the Scythians occupied an area in Eastern Europe on the north shore of the Black Sea and were replaced by the Sarmatians in the 3rd century B.C.; and the Dacians occupied the region of the Roman Empire that is roughly modern-day Transylvania and Romania.
