A figure in a pipe has shielded his eyes to avoid seeing the sins written on paper hanging in a stall behind him on the left. He is being lauded by an angel. The figures behind him on the right have sinned but are forgiven by Christ thanks to their repentance and penance. Christ is enthroned in the air with a cross in his hands; from the wounds in his side and hand blood pours down on the sinners to whom he has granted his forgiveness. To the left and right of the central scene are personifications of sin and repentance. At the bottom hangs a cloth with an eight-line Dutch verse.
