Extensive mass meetings of the Party Ra'jat Pasoendan took place at Buitenzorg, Bandoeng, and Batavia during the month of May. Aim of these meetings was to stand up for the position of the Soenda-lands as a separate State in the federal connection with the prospective United States of Indonesia. Various speakers advocated with ardour, the establishment of a separate State of Pasoendan and opposed the remaining of Soenda-lands under the Government of the Republic.
