The style that was universally present in the Exposition was Art Nouveau. The fair, visited by nearly 50 million, displayed many technological innovations; black and white photograph of the Palace of Lights with swans in the foreground on one of the lakes in the Champ de Mars. Palace entirely built in glass - an extravaganza to be seen at night time.
